Anita Siassios

 Anita is a privacy, cyber, and data governance leader with more than 30 years’ experience across financial services, technology, and large-scale transformation programs. She is the Privacy Officer at Suncorp Bank (ANZ Group), where she leads enterprise-wide privacy strategy through a period of significant regulatory reform and complex integration activity.

Having worked across highly regulated financial services, digital platforms, and customer-centric organisations, Anita brings deep expertise spanning privacy law, data protection, cyber-adjacent risk, customer experience, and ethical technology governance. Her work sits at the intersection of law, technology, and human impact, with a strong focus on translating regulatory obligations into practical, defensible outcomes that prevent harm and build trust.

Anita is the volunteer Founder and President of the Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) Australia Affiliate, a national not-for-profit community dedicated to retaining, advancing, and recruiting women in cyber security to build a diverse, inclusive, and sustainable cyber and privacy workforce. Through WiCyS, she has led national initiatives supporting women, students, career-changers, and under-represented groups, and works closely with industry, government, and education partners to strengthen Australia’s cyber capability. 

She also serves in a leadership role with IAPP Women Leading Privacy, contributing to initiatives that support, elevate, and connect women leaders across the global privacy profession. A recognised advocate for privacy-by-design, inclusive leadership, and responsible data use, Anita serves in advisory and community leadership roles across the privacy and cyber ecosystem and is an active contributor to national conversations on workforce development, trust, and digital ethics. 

She is a regular speaker on privacy reform and cyber governance and brings her insights on inclusive recruitment, workforce diversity as a national capability, and leadership in shaping cyber strategy to events such as the Women in Cyber Security Summit.
